Mammoth use a variety of different materials to match the requirements you need:
– Mild Steel
The typical exhaust steel – mild steel is a ferrous metal made from iron and carbon – low priced material with properties suited for exhaust and engine parts.
– Aluminised Steel
Mild steel which has been hot-dip coated with aluminium and silicon alloy, used as a higher standard exhaust steel with same material properties and greater resistance to corrosion and wear.
– Stainless Steel
Premium steel used where maximum corrosion resistance is required for greater part longevity
– Zinc Plated/Galvanised
Zinc coating applied to mild steel for greater corrosion resistance where greater part longevity is required
– Chrome Plated
Mild steel with an electroplated layer of chromium and nickel – highly corrosion resistant
– EPDM Rubber
Ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber – a synthetic rubber used in industrial applications
(i.e. air intake systems)
– 4 Ply Silicone Aramid
4 plys of silicon coating to aramid fabric – used in applications where higher temp resistance is required than rubber (i.e. turbo charge hoses and hose protection)
– Silicone
Silicone rubber a polymer made from siloxane used for coolant and heater hoses and air intake applications
