SAFETY UP YOUR SLEEVE

At Mammoth Zero Harm is at the core of what we do every day. Our Fire Sleeve insulation will protect critical fuel, oil hydraulic lines and hoses from intense radiant heat and direct flame.

Typically used to protect fuel, oil, hydraulic lines and hoses as well as critical wiring and cables. It can also be used to reduce heat loss from hoses.

The iron oxide coated silicone rubber forms the external protection against radiant heat and direct flame. The insulation effect is further enhanced by the high thermal resistance factor of bulk braided glass fibre.

Manufactured from high-silica glass fibre reinforced tubing and coated with silicone rubber impregnated with iron oxide, provides a flexible and abrasion-resistant sleeve that can expand over fittings and connectors.
We offer a range of Fire Sleeves to meet your specific safety requirements.

THE MAMMOTH SOLUTION

• Continuous operating temperature at 260°C
• High temperature exposure (15 – 20mins) at 1090°C
• Extreme temperature exposure (15 -30secs) at 1650°C
• Made from non-toxic materials

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF FIRE SLEEVE?

  • Fire sleeve is used to cover up hydraulic lines and fuel lines.
The benefit for covering up these lines, is it can keep the fluid temperatures as normal rather then being affected by the engine temps
  • The other benefit of covering these lines with fire sleeve is that, when an oil or fuel line might burst and leak it prevents the fluid from within these lines being sprayed out into the engine bay where there is other hot components.
When this happens it will generally cause a fire within the engine bay, so having the fire sleeve installed will prevent a fire on the machine.
  • Another benefit of having things like hydraulic hoses, fuel lines and wiring harnesses covered with fire sleeve is that it can also stop them from rubbing on other components, which can then lead to cracking having other component issues, such as live wires being exposed.
